3D Clock

Yesterday, for maths we had to read a step by step procedure for making a 3D clock. It was very tricky. We had to measure in centimetres to make equilateral triangles, measure the angles with a protractor to check they were 60 degrees, make a clock face and arrows and tie it all together with string. I was glad when I finished. The clock hands were the hardest part. Here is a picture of my clock.

 

Maths Week 3 Term 1 2021

 

 We have been learning that statistics is the maths of data. Data is information/facts. We collected data using tally charts and then we made bar graphs and dot plot graphs using pen and paper. Then, we used our computers to make graphs. Here is my graph about movies. Instead of using spreadsheets I made a graph on The Maths is Fun website.

Creating a Game

This week to end our procedure writing topic, we have been creating our own games. I made an animated video game. My theme was a maze.

 We have been learning to solve addition and subtraction problems using place value.We had to complete these problems using this strategy I feel happy because I like how we are using this strategy now.

We have been learning to tell the time in class.I have a DLO to show how to tell the time.

For maths we have been learning our times tables . We have created a times table maze. You have to use your times table to get the chicken to her eggs.

On Wednesday we used the story Robot Stop as inspiration for our Play, Make Create tasks. Here are my tasks I completed for it.

Here is the robot I designed in google draw. I am learning to group my shapes together so I can move my pictures as one piece. I am still working on my comic strip.
